The Magic of St Andrews

St Andrews Legacy was founded in 2013 by the late Graham Proctor; since then, around 200 ill or injured military veterans from the UK, the USA, Australia, and Canada, have visited St Andrews and experienced the benefits of a week in Scotland’s most celebrated town. Not only is it The Home of Golf, St Andrews is among the world’s premier leisure destinations, it is a crucible of Scottish history, and it is host to a 600-year-old university. Situated right on the North Sea coast, St Andrews is like its ocean neighbour: alive, vibrant, and invigorating.

Graham spoke of “the magic of St Andrews”, a place where, in the right company, healing, good fellowship, and a renewed sense of purpose can be found.

What We Look For

We identify participants through personal contacts and in collaboration with other veterans organizations. Golfing ability is a factor, but enthusiasm and a willingness to take on the adventure are also vital characteristics.

Safe and Secure

St Andrews Legacy provides a safe and secure environment for veterans to communicate with one another, to exchange experiences, and to have a great time.

World Class Golf

Participants have enjoyed the best golf in the world: at St Andrews Links, including The Old Course, and elsewhere in Scotland, including Crail, Dumbarnie, Machrihanish, Royal Aberdeen, Gleneagles, Cabot Highlands, Lundin Links, Fairmont St Andrews, Kingarrock, and Kingsbarns
